A distribution centre near Providence is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. Thank you in advance. They said to bring ID and a work history, and some people were hired on the spot. Do they hire temps first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.
