Distribution centre hiring near Charlotte - what worked for you?

A distribution centre near Charlotte is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. Any experience at all would help. I went for a tour and the place was clean and organised. What are the shifts like?

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.
