Distribution centre hiring near Birmingham - any advice?

I saw a flyer for warehouse hiring on the east side of Birmingham, with day and night shifts. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I went for a tour and the place was clean and organised. Do they hire temps first?

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.

If you have forklift experience, say so. It moved me to the top of the pile.
