Distribution centre hiring near Austin, forklift operator here

A distribution centre near Austin is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They said to bring ID and a work history, and some people were hired on the spot. What are the shifts like?

Night shifts often pay a premium, but check the transport options first. The buses thin out late.

If you have forklift experience, say so. It moved me to the top of the pile.
