Delivery and driving jobs in Portland - any advice?

A regional carrier near Portland is hiring drivers for local runs with home time every night. I worked as a mechanic before this. A clean driving record is required. How is the pay in practice?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
