Delivery and driving jobs in Detroit after 6 years as a payroll clerk

Several delivery companies in Detroit are hiring drivers with clean records. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Some offer paid training for a commercial licence. Are the local runs really home every night?

Local runs were steady for me, but early starts are common. Plan for a 4 a.m. alarm.
