County job postings worth checking - what worked for you?

The city and county near Milwaukee both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Hiring is slower than private jobs. How long did it take to hear back?

It took me about two months from application to offer. Apply early and keep your contact details current.
