County job postings worth checking

The city and county near Tampa both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I am in Tampa, in case local advice matters. Hiring is slower than private jobs. Anyone applied for one?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
