County job postings worth checking - 11 weeks in

I found several public-sector postings with benefits and a steady schedule. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history. Do they prefer local residents?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
