City government openings this month - what worked for you?

The city and county near Madison both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history. Anyone applied for one?

Sign up for email alerts on the city's job page. New postings often close within two weeks.

Follow the instructions exactly. They screen out applications with missing sections.
