City government openings this month - what worked for you?

The city and county near Boston both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I worked as a hotel front-desk agent before this. Hiring is slower than private jobs.

The exam was simple, mostly clerical skills. Practice material is usually on the same website.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
