City government openings this month - what worked for you?

The city and county near Minneapolis both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Hiring is slower than private jobs. Anyone applied for one?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
