City government openings this month (Salt Lake City)

The city and county near Salt Lake City both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history. Do they prefer local residents?

The exam was simple, mostly clerical skills. Practice material is usually on the same website.

Follow the instructions exactly. They screen out applications with missing sections.
