City government openings this month - first time posting

The city and county near Phoenix both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Hiring is slower than private jobs. Do they prefer local residents?

It took me about two months from application to offer. Apply early and keep your contact details current.
