City government openings this month - first time posting

The city and county near Denver both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. Hiring is slower than private jobs. Do they prefer local residents?

It took me about two months from application to offer. Apply early and keep your contact details current.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
