City government openings this month - first time posting

The city and county near Memphis both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Hiring is slower than private jobs. How long did it take to hear back?

Sign up for email alerts on the city's job page. New postings often close within two weeks.

The exam was simple, mostly clerical skills. Practice material is usually on the same website.
