City government openings this month (Boston)

The city and county near Boston both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history. How long did it take to hear back?

The exam was simple, mostly clerical skills. Practice material is usually on the same website.
