City government openings this month - any advice?

Chidi Rasmussen · 2026-05-27T20:06:42.306Z

The city and county near Jacksonville both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Some need a short exam. How long did it take to hear back?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

It took me about two months from application to offer. Apply early and keep your contact details current.
