City government openings this month - any advice?

The city and county near Boston both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some need a short exam.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
