City government openings this month - 7 weeks in

The city and county near Little Rock both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. There are 8 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Applications close on a fixed date and need a full work history. Do they prefer local residents?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
