City government openings this month

The city and county near Memphis both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. I worked as a warehouse supervisor before this. Hiring is slower than private jobs. Do they prefer local residents?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

It took me about two months from application to offer. Apply early and keep your contact details current.
