Apprenticeship openings for electricians and welders - what worked for you?

A local apprenticeship programme is taking applicants for the next intake. Classes are in the evening and work is during the day. What do you wish you had known?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Visit the training centre in person if you can. Seeing the classrooms helped me decide.
