Apprenticeship openings for electricians and welders - what worked for you?

The training centre near Milwaukee opened applications for apprenticeships in electrical and welding trades. Classes are in the evening and work is during the day. How hard is the test?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
