Apprenticeship openings for electricians and welders - any advice?

The training centre near Knoxville opened applications for apprenticeships in electrical and welding trades. Classes are in the evening and work is during the day. How hard is the test?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
