Apprenticeship openings for electricians and welders - any advice?

The training centre near Toledo opened applications for apprenticeships in electrical and welding trades. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Classes are in the evening and work is during the day. How hard is the test?

You earn while you learn, but the first year is tight. Plan your budget carefully.
