Apprenticeship openings for electricians and welders after 4 years as an office manager

The training centre near Knoxville opened applications for apprenticeships in electrical and welding trades. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Applications close in 6 weeks. What do you wish you had known?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
