Apprenticeship openings for electricians and welders

I heard of an apprenticeship with paid on-the-job training for people changing careers. There are 18 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Applications close in 8 weeks. Did anyone go through it?

The aptitude test was mostly maths and reading a diagram. Free practice tests online were enough for me.
