Who watches the kids during interviews? - what worked for you?

I have 4 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. I am in Omaha, in case local advice matters. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long. Is there an emergency option?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
