Who watches the kids during interviews? - what worked for you?

I have 8 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long. How long did subsidies take?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Libraries and community centres run free activities that gave me a couple of hours.
