Who watches the kids during interviews? - what worked for you?

I have 9 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. I am in Kansas City, in case local advice matters. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long. How long did subsidies take?

Ask the school about after-school programmes. Some are free or based on income.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
