Who watches the kids during interviews? after 16 years as a customer-service rep

The daycare near me wants more than I can pay. I worked as a customer-service rep before this. A neighbour offered help but not every day. Is there an emergency option?

I swapped afternoons with another parent. It took some planning and saved us both money.

Our county's childcare assistance took about 6 weeks to approve, but it covered most of the cost.
