The daycare near me wants more than I can pay. Any experience at all would help. A neighbour offered help but not every day. What worked for you?

Our county's childcare assistance took about 21 weeks to approve, but it covered most of the cost.

I swapped afternoons with another parent. It took some planning and saved us both money.
