Which free résumé tools do you trust? - what worked for you?

I need a résumé template that passes automated screening. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. A spreadsheet with dates and follow-ups worked a little. Any good templates?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
