Which free résumé tools do you trust? - what worked for you?

I need a résumé template that passes automated screening. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I want reminders to follow up. Any good templates?

A simple spreadsheet with company, date, contact and next step was all I needed.

Use a plain one-column résumé with standard headings. Mine got more replies after I simplified it.
