Which free résumé tools do you trust? (update)

I am tracking my applications in a notebook and want something better. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I do not want to pay for premium features. Are there tools to avoid?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Your library may offer free access to paid learning and résumé services. Mine did.
