Which free résumé tools do you trust? - any advice?

I am looking for free tools that do not spam me. I worked as a production planner before this. I want reminders to follow up. Are there tools to avoid?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
