Which free résumé tools do you trust? after 7 years as an electrician's helper

I am tracking my applications in a notebook and want something better. I worked as an electrician's helper before this. I do not want to pay for premium features. Are there tools to avoid?

Use a plain one-column résumé with standard headings. Mine got more replies after I simplified it.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
