Which free résumé tools do you trust? - 4 months and counting

I am looking for free tools that do not spam me. A spreadsheet with dates and follow-ups worked a little. Are there tools to avoid?

Use a plain one-column résumé with standard headings. Mine got more replies after I simplified it.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
