What does your daily routine look like while job hunting? (update)

Since my layoff as a line cook I have no real structure. It has been weighing on me all week. Some days I do nothing and feel guilty. What helps you switch off?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
