Since my layoff as an insurance claims processor I have no real structure. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
