What does your daily routine look like while job hunting? - any advice?

Since my layoff as a line cook I have no real structure. Thank you in advance. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon. What helps you switch off?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
