What does your daily routine look like while job hunting? - any advice?

I want a realistic schedule for the week that does not burn me out. I am in Boston, in case local advice matters. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon. How many hours do you really work on the search?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
