Transit passes and rides for job seekers - what worked for you?

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Some employers are off the main lines. Any rideshare programmes?

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.
