Transit passes and rides for job seekers - what worked for you?

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a dental hygienist. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
