Transit passes and rides for job seekers (Portland)

I do not have a car and interviews in Portland are spread around. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I can walk part of the way. What do you use?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.
