Transit passes and rides for job seekers

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
