Transit passes and rides for job seekers

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I can walk part of the way. What do you use?

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
