Transit passes and rides for job seekers - any advice?

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Some employers are off the main lines. What do you use?

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.
