Transit passes and rides for job seekers - any advice?

I do not have a car and interviews in Sacramento are spread around. It has been a long 17 weeks. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
