Transit passes and rides for job seekers after 14 years as an IT help-desk technician

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. I worked as an IT help-desk technician before this. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.
